Maymester 2018: Sorrento, Italy

Spend 2 weeks this upcoming May bolstering your resume by taking classes towards your degree while enjoying the warmth and beauty of the Mediterranean in the height of the summer season.  You will take 3-6 credits and can choose courses in the areas of Italian Studies, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, and Business.


Host School

Sant’Anna Institute organizes study abroad programs in partnership with American universities.  All courses are offered through SUNY Alfred (New York State), which is accredited by the Middles States Commission on Higher Education.  Non-Alfred State College students can apply to transfer course credits to their home institution by requesting a SUNY Alfred transcript.

Sant’Anna Institute strives to provide students from across the world a unique, hands-on learning experience where they can cultivate real world skills and knowledge.  The school is located in Sorrento, one of the most harmonious cities southern Italy has to offer, perched on the cliffs of the coast overlooking the fishing village of Marina Grande. Sant’Anna provides students an opportunity to gain global awareness and perspective. Sant’Anna’s mission is to have each student leave with an appreciation of the Italian culture as well as the knowledge acquired through their academic courses.
