There is no better way to immerse yourself in Italian language and culture than to live with a local Italian family. Sant’Anna Institute has a long-standing relationship with local families that ensure the happiness and safety of our students.
Homestays provide students with an excellent opportunity to practice the language on a daily basis and to sample the delights of Italian culture from food to daily life, family values, and the opportunity to form a life long bond with your host family.
Sant’Anna students enjoy homestay accommodations within a 30-minute walk of the school or a short ride on public transit.
Host families provide breakfast daily and students can choose the option to have dinner provided by their host family.
Through the homestay experience, students receive the following:
- Bed in private room or shared bedroom with other Sant’Anna students
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Access to laundry
Students who are more independent in their living arrangements and would enjoy the opportunity to live with several other students, can choose to live in the apartments. Students will share the apartment with up to 5 other Sant’Anna students. All shared apartments are self-catered.
All apartments come equipped with the following:
- Bed and linens
- Closet and dresser
- Stove and basic cooking and eating necessities
- Kitchen table and chairs
Apartments in Italy, especially in the historical centers, are all situated in antique buildings. Although we maintain a standard for our apartments, some are more recently renovated than others. And as a result, no two apartments are just alike, and we cannot accommodate requests for specific apartments.
Apartments are not all located in the same building, but all are within walking or public transportation distance from the school and facilities.
Also, shared apartments are not co-ed and a private single apartment can be arranged upon request at an additional fee.
Enjoy all the perks of Sant’Anna, 24/7! Located within a 5-minute walk to Marina Grande where you will have easy access to the beach, restaurants, boats and the center of town.
Choose from the following dormitory options: single, double, or triple rooms.
Most rooms will have en-suite bathrooms and others will be structured as a suite where bathrooms will be shared with other suite mates.
Students will enjoy a common room, full kitchen access and dining area to prepare and enjoy meals, and a rooftop terrace with a view of the Bay of Napes and Marina Grande.
All dormitories also include the following:
- Single bed
- Desk lamp
Roommates are assigned based on information provided by the student on the housing application. Students can request a specific roommate through the housing application but all roommate requests must be mutual.
Please note that housing requests are not guaranteed. Single rooms for all housing types are limited in number and are available on a first come first served basis. Students are advised to submit a housing application as early as possible in order to increase the likelihood of receiving first choice housing preferences.
