Summer Session I 2018: Liberal Arts in Florence, Italy

Spend four weeks bolstering your resume by taking classes while enjoying the art and culture of the historic city and its Tuscan countryside. You may take 3-6 credits to apply towards your degree and can choose courses in the field of Liberal Arts.


Host School

Santa Reparata International School of Art is one of the top art and design schools in Italy. SRISA designed summer study programs partnership with CAP for American universities. SRISA’s highly personalized instruction and experiential learning conforms to the expectations and requirements of an American University curriculum.  All of SRISA’s programs are accredited and courses are taught in English. College students will receive course credits through a SIRSA transcript upon program completion.

Santa Reparata International School of Art offers a tailored program with study taking place outside of the classroom to provide a saturated learning experience for all students. Each discipline offers traditional approaches and historical context applied with innovative advancements for unparalleled artistic education. The SRISA houses a Gallery of Contemporary Art and extensive studio facilities for painting, drawing and printmaking including photography labs and darkrooms. SIRSA students will take part in field trips, cultural seminars, added lecturers, and excursions including museum visits, guest lecturers and fashion shows.

The school is located in Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance, therefore one of the best cities to study art and design. Age: 18

GPA: 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)

Academic Year: Junior

Foreign Language Proficiency: English, Italian is not required.
