Fall Semester in Florence: Housing Options

CAP’s housing is a great opportunity for students to get to know one another while being immersed in the Italian culture and lifestyle.

Housing Options:
Double room in a shared apartment
Single room in a shared apartment
Arrange your own housing* (see note below)

Housing costs include rent, reasonable utility usage, staff assistance, and administrative fees.

Students are housed in residential apartments located within a 20-minute walk from the main campus. All apartments are fully furnished with the essential necessities for independent living.

Apartments are equipped with:

  • Kitchen with refrigerator and stove
  • Dishes, pots, pans, flatware and glasses
  • Bathroom with shower and/or bath
  • Blankets and pillows

Shared Apartments:
Apartments vary in size with a combination of single and double bedrooms (4-6 people average per apartment). None of the apartments have air-conditioning, none have telephones, and some do not have washing machines. Cellular phones are easily available for rental at an inexpensive rate. Students with particular needs may want to arrange their own housing.

Please note:
Most rooms in Florentine apartments are double occupancy. We cannot guarantee any student a single room. Students are required to indicate a second choice when submitting a housing application.
